The imaginary museum

For decades, I kept looking at the same outstanding images of famous colleagues. I particularly like the self-portraits. That’s when the idea of slipping into the shoes of these artists developed. Already in 2013 I presented some picture quotations in my solo exhibition. But that shouldn’t be enough.

Since then I’ve been working on an imaginary museum where the most interesting and famous self-portraits together with my own compositions are presented to the public in one place at a time. The pictures for this future exhibition are of course far from finished, but I’m working on them. Here are some examples:
